So I found out today just how much pressure a red tail hawk can put on you, first hand. I was helping people cut this red tails nails and beak, when the bird decided that it didn't like the sound of the sander and freaked out. It pulled its talons out of my hand then clamped down on my index finger. I was lucky I had a heavy glove on or I would have been pierced, basically the red tails can put 90 pounds of pressure per talon, so I had about 180 pound of pressure on my last knuckle. Hurt like hell. (lucky it wasn't a bald eagle, frigging thousand pounds of pressure per square inch...)
